3EX Diamonds

A "3EX" diamond is one that has achieved the highest possible grades (Excellent) in three key areas: Cut, Polish, and Symmetry.

  1. Cut Excellence:

    • Measures how well the diamond's facets interact with light.
    • A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, resulting in optimal brilliance and sparkle.

  2. Polish Excellence:

    • Assesses the smoothness and finish of the diamond’s surface.
    • Ensures there are minimal surface blemishes, contributing to the diamond’s overall shine.

  3. Symmetry Excellence:

    • Evaluates the precision and uniformity of the diamond's facets.
    • Ensures the facets are well-aligned and proportioned, enhancing the diamond’s aesthetic appeal.



8EX Diamonds

An "8EX" diamond is graded for excellence in eight specific aspects, providing a more comprehensive assessment of the diamond's quality. These include: Polish, External Symmetry, Proportions, Optical Brilliance, Fire, Scintillation, Optical Symmetry, and Hearts & Arrows.

  1. Polish:

    • Ensures a flawless surface with minimal blemishes.
    • Contributes to the diamond’s overall shine.

  2. External Symmetry:

    • Guarantees precise alignment and proportion of facets.
    • Evaluates the uniformity and consistency of the diamond’s shape.

  3. Proportions:

    • Assesses the diamond’s dimensions and angles to ensure they are within ideal ranges.
    • Ensures that the diamond's shape contributes to its light performance.

  4. Optical Brilliance:

    • Measures how well the diamond reflects white light.
    • Ensures the diamond achieves maximum brightness.

  5. Fire:

    • Evaluates the dispersion of light into various colors.
    • Ensures the diamond shows a spectrum of colors when exposed to light.

  6. Scintillation:

    • Assesses the sparkle of the diamond when moved under light.
    • Ensures the diamond has a lively and vibrant appearance.

  7. Optical Symmetry:

    • Examines the symmetry of the diamond’s internal facets.
    • Ensures optimal light reflection and refraction within the diamond.

  8. Hearts & Arrows:

    • Assesses the presence of the hearts and arrows pattern, a sign of exceptional cut precision.
    • Indicates superior craftsmanship, often seen in round brilliant cuts.
